Quaker: people

Here are our local partners at the Rwandan Quakers (click here to find out more).

Cecile Nyiramana

Rwandan Local Partner with Forward Africa Education Trust

Cecile has a degree in clinical psychology and is the Clerk of Rwanda Yearly Quaker Meeting. Passionate in peacebuilding, she is very concerned by the situation of poor young people who don’t have hope in their future. In her peace career she does everything she can to advocate for these young people.

She believes that once we educate such vulnerable young people, we are giving hope and positively impacting their lives. It will not only help them, but also their families and Rwanda at large.

Pastor Aaron Mupenda

Head of College George Fox of Kagarama (CGFK)

As a holder of a Bachelor degree in Theology and with over 10 years of experience in education, he understands that when poor students and orphans drop out of school it affects their future lives and the future of the people of Rwanda in general.

He believes that when students drop out of school it is the worst thing often leading to life on the street. With financial and moral support students can have hope for the future.
