SheCreates
Forward Africa Education Trust is delighted to announce its newest venture: SheCreates
SheCreates is a lively new initiative supporting 20 young Rwandan women as they develop socially focused business ideas. Launched in November 2025, the year-long programme equips participants aged 18–30 with practical training, mentorship, and seed funding to help turn promising ideas into viable enterprises.
The initiative aims to tackle youth unemployment by enabling women to build opportunities in tourism, agriculture, health, and digital innovation. Rather than traditional classroom learning, SheCreates offers an engaging mix of workshops, discussions, and collaborative activities. Each participant is also matched with an experienced mentor to offer guidance and support throughout the year.
The programme officially opened on 23 November 2025 in the Friends Peace Garden, Kigali. Over the first five months, fellows will take part in sessions designed to build confidence, leadership skills, and core entrepreneurial knowledge. The remaining seven months will focus on implementation—testing ideas, refining business models, and preparing to launch ventures that respond to real community needs.
Programme lead Joyeuse greeted the new cohort with an upbeat welcome: “We can’t wait to see where your ideas take you—this year is about experimenting, learning, and having fun while you grow.” SheCreates highlights creativity, resilience, and the collective power of women supporting women—one business idea at a time. We wish them well.
