Emerance and Adeline have never let visual impairment define the boundaries of their ambition.

At HVP Gatagara School, near Rwamagana, they navigate classrooms, friendships, and exams with a quiet determination that humbles everyone around them.

Recently, FAET volunteer Joyce visited them at school — to check on progress and say ‘hi, how is it going’.

With the support of Forward Africa Education Trust, they have the resources and encouragement they need to thrive.

Their stories remind us that what a young person can achieve has everything to do with whether someone believes in them.

FAET exists to be that belief.
